The INTESA solutions make the integration of company processes
possible with three distinct interaction levels:
- Basic
Integration: batch communication mode, normally created
using EDI technology (Electronic Data Interchange). This
is a reliable and highly consolidated mode that today is
the support base for e-commerce services (70% of the B2B
transactions).
- Basic
Collaboration: interaction mode that uses the Internet
as a low cost communication channel. It has allowed many
small businesses to access the "business integration" services
through the use of a simple Web interface connection. The
"Internet EDI" and "Web EDI" services fall within this area
(9% of the total B2B traffic).
- Full
Collaboration:
emerging interaction mode; allows complete "end to end"
integration of the business processes on an inter-company
level. It uses open standards recently put in the ICT (XML,
Web services; BPM; PKI, ...) and uses the Internet as a
communication network. This mode allows collaboration platforms
to be created on a 'virtual company' level, connecting applications
and users with specific workflows, exceeding the boundaries
of individual companies in order to create a common business
process.
