Intesa (IBM Groups) became a member of Assocertificatori
The IBM company is enhancing its role as a Trust Service Provider by joining the professional association
Intesa (IBM Group), a company that provides digital solutions to support businesses’ digital transformation journey, has strengthened its role as Qualified Trust Services by becoming a member of Assocertificatori.
Assocertificatori – Association of Italian Providers of Qualified Trust Services and Accredited Managers – is a nonprofit association that brings together the leading Trust Service Providers certified by EU Regulation no. 910/2014 (“eIDAS”) and by AGID for the issuance of digital IDs, certified email, and for providing legally compliant cloud-storage services.
Assocertificatori membership formalization comes just a few weeks after Intesa being authorised by eIDAS to issue the eSeals: another confirmation of the company’s willingness to take a proactive stance in the research and debate on certifications and ID-verification, with the purpose of warding business process’ security, and of providing support to companies setting off on the road towards digital transformation.
“As a European Trust Service Provider, our company’s strategic plan includes a growing commitment to develop enterprise digital-trust solutions. Our goal is to set Intesa as an expert voice in this field,” states Pietro Lanza, the company’s General Manager. “Thus, becoming a member of Assocertificatori is consistent with Intesa’s business development.”
Intesa is also one of the leading European Certification Authorities, a PEC [certified email] provider, SPID digital-ID provider, eIDAS Qualified Trust Service Provider, a PEPPOL-certified access point and Accredited Custodian, a member of the Working Group on Digital Identity helping to design a research path for the Milan Polytechnic’s Digital Innovation Observatory.
