Intesa joins Kyndryl and strengthens its role as a strategic player in digital transformation

Turin, 4 November 2021 – Intesa, a Turin-based company founded in 1987 and 100% owned by IBM for more than 15 years, begins its new journey as an affiliate of Kyndryl, the spin-off of the US giant’s Managed Infrastructure Services division, which is listed on the NYSE today as an autonomous and independent company.

Within Kyndryl Italia, Intesa will play a strategic role as a services company: both companies are aligned on the same goal of delivering and managing customers’ digital transformation, contributing to the progress of their business across different markets, to help drive the country’s development.

At this time of major transformation, Intesa is strengthening its role in the IT market with a view to globalisation and consolidating its mission as a trusted partner in supporting companies through the digital transformation of their business processes, providing well-established, cutting-edge digital services, a consultative approach and the ability to deliver innovative solutions to organisations around the world.

“Kyndryl is the largest company in the world in the infrastructure and technology IT services sector, and also the leader in Italy, and for Intesa this represents a great opportunity to strengthen its value proposition on the market and extend it to over 4,600 companies in 115 countries, including the majority of Fortune 100 companies,” commented Andrea Agnello, Senior Partner at Kyndryl and CEO of Intesa.

“We will take this opportunity to promote our business digital transformation model, which can be summed up in three key concepts: alignment with project time to market, customer focus, and environmental and social sustainability,” stressed Giuseppe Mariani, General Manager of Intesa.
