Intesa, a Kyndryl Company gets B Corp certification
The commitment to a positive impact on the environment and society was confirmed by B Lab.
Turin, April 13, 2023 – Intesa, a Kyndryl Group company that has been working in the field of digital transformation for more than 35 years and is among the leading providers of qualified trust services in Italy and Europe, has obtained the B Corp certification, issued to companies that include among their corporate objectives not only profit but also a commitment to generate a positive impact on society and the environment. In Italy, there are more than 220 B Corps that form a Movement of companies that make it one of their priorities to improve their social and environmental performance, with the aim of creating a more equitable, inclusive and regenerative economic system.
Certification is awarded following a process of measuring a company’s sustainability profile by B Lab, at the end of which, if the entity’s standards of environmental and social performance, transparency and accountability are met, it can become a B Corp. In fact, the B Impact Assessment provides an assessment of corporate performance, taking into consideration 5 macro areas: governance, community, people, environment and customers.
By becoming a B Corp, Intesa is therefore committed to continuing to balance profit with value creation, not only for customers but also for suppliers, the community, the environment, shareholders and those who work or collaborate with the company. And it is precisely on this last assessment parameter that Intesa scored highest in the B Impact Assessment: in fact, the company pays special attention to the collective well-being of the company’s people, promoting ongoing professional training, events to reduce the generation gap, and activities to raise awareness of environmental and diversity & inclusion issues.

Every three years, B Lab re-assesses the performance of companies, which, in order to maintain certification, must demonstrate that they have maintained and improved the impact assessed through the B Impact Assessment (BIA) by constantly measuring and monitoring multiple parameters.
