Intesa adds an additional important authorisation from the Italian Digital Agency (AGID): consent for authentication using Electronic ID Cards (eIDs) for those accessing the company's services, as permitted by its status as an accredited service provider.

The authorisation will further simplify the user experience for Intesa customers.

Certified Electronic Mail (PEC) will be replaced by Registered Electronic Mail (REM), a new European standard for secure communications, which will ensure greater interoperability and security.

The implementation of the EUDI Wallet generates interest and enthusiasm, but risks and benefits must be taken into account in order to create a balanced and useful ecosystem for citizens.
